Who is Magdalena Guerra?
I was born on November 22nd, in Firgas, a village located on the North of Gran Canaria, one of the Canary Islands.
I like enjoying nature, even though I sometimes leave apart my hobbies … I like to do trekking, some paragliding flight, or a simple walk and to spend time with family.
At the same time, I love my job!
What I enjoy the most is to be able to help some people to fulfil with their wish to find a property which becomes their home, because HOME is built by themselves. I cannot sell that to them. To my colleagues, I can help them achieve their goals whereas I see how a business relationship turn into a friendship, in some cases, almost family, in which we’re going to work together: the owners and I, for the sale of their building. And furthermore, being able to make their dreams come true to those ones who like “my properties”.
Since 2002, I take part in real-estate sector. In 2004, I got involved in the dream of having my own real estate agency. It was a red, blue and white franchise that grew into a successful and highly-regarded agency in its first year of life.
From the very beginning, I have always been a self-reliant woman with a desire for self-improvement, by researching how to deal with each situation and thinking of taking actions aimed at enhancing my business.
None would say that girl, who loved boys and wanted to study childcare, would ended up studying Computerized Accounting and Labour Relations at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, by starting with a master in Human Resources; and she would risk opening her own real estate agency, being the first woman in the Canary Islands to buy a RE / MAX license. Afterwards, I became an agent for a second time, and once again, I took the risk of creating a traditional real estate agency, where I realized that my strength was to share and work with brands and teamwork.
For almost 5 years, I have been associated with Century 21 and, currently, I am Commercial Manager at Century 21 Capital Lpa. I led a group of 7 real estate agents, who are already getting results and being independent. One of my agents, in less than 6 months, obtained the Innovation Agent award, what I am very proud of.
Nowadays, I participate in the commercial and training management in my offi-family and I love helping out our new agents, whatever the team they may be part of.
